Barstow School students build custom cars for children with mobility challenges

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Students at Barstow School helped children with mobility challenges experience independence Saturday through the Go Baby Go event.

Four-year-old Lyla Kinslow was among the children who received a custom-built toy car designed specifically for her needs. Her mother, Emily Clark, watched as Lyla got behind the wheel for the first time.

“I get goosebumps right now. This is an amazing experience,” Clark said.

Custom modifications for individual needs
