Kansas City Zoo invites public to help name new giraffe calf

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium has shared the news of a new male giraffe calf and invited the public to help name him.

Voters can choose between six names that the giraffe animal care specialists have already selected: Anderson, Beni, Chester, Mosi, Patch, or Slim (Giraffey McGiraffeface missed the cutoff).

The form to vote is available here, and the deadline to submit is Nov. 19.

The baby was born on Tuesday, Nov. 4, to mom Chandy and dad Aidan. H weighed approximately 134 pounds and already stood 5 feet 6 inches tall…
