KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – With Thanksgiving two weeks away, families gathered at Alvin Brooks Middle School to receive free complete holiday meals as part of a community giveaway addressing ongoing food insecurity.
Summit Church partnered with The For Truck organization to distribute groceries that feed six people, marking the first time the food truck mobilized their food pantry for the holiday effort. Cars lined up early as volunteers handed out boxes containing everything needed for a Thanksgiving dinner.
