Kansas City teacher recounts attack inside school, calls for change and accountability

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The day before health sciences teacher Stacy Williamson was assaulted inside East High, she did an online active shooter training for how to protect herself and her students.

“I’m in the mind of ‘I’m going to take a bullet…I will give my life for these kids,’” Williamson said.

“To turn around the very next day, the same kids that I’m being asked to protect, assaulted me. I can’t make sense of it.”…
