KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The long-closed Family Dollar on Broadway drew an unexpected crowd Tuesday morning as people were allowed inside to collect remaining items from the store’s interior.
According to witnesses, crews working at the building opened the doors to allow members of the public to gather leftover items still scattered inside after the summer collapse. The building remains fenced off and is boarded up.
