Multiple car crashes in same spot has KCK business owner hoping for change

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Since the start of the year, the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department says it has investigated 13 car crashes in the 300 block of N. James Street. The multiple incidents have led to calls for changes to ensure more crashes don’t happen.

“There’s something at least monthly, if not every other month there’s an accident that happens there,” said Scott Miller, co-president of Convoy Systems LLC. “There’s probably been multiple accidents we haven’t known about, but a lot of them end up bad.”

The business has been located on N. James Street for decades. Miller says there have been numerous crashes where the road curves before the James Street Bridge. Many have been caught on their security cameras…
