Driver charged after KC area high speed chase

CASS COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a high speed chase in the Kansas City area.

Just before 2:30a.m. Nov. 20, a sheriff’s deputy attempted to make a vehicle stop on a northbound vehicle on Interstate 49 in rural Peculiar, Missouri, according to the Cass County Sheriff.

The vehicle had a defective taillight — and the driver began to accelerate as the deputy activated his emergency lights. As the pursuit passed North Cass Parkway, the Belton Missouri Police Department successfully deployed tire deflation devices…
