KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The holiday shopping rush is in full swing this weekend, and small businesses in the Brookside neighborhood are reminding shoppers that where they spend their money truly matters.
“Just really know that wherever they’re spending their money, especially if they’re choosing to shop local and to shop small, it really does make a large difference for each of those individual makers. Those dollars got right back into the community,” Shop Local KC Store Manager Kierra Washington said.
