Kansas City woman pleads guilty to preparing, filing false income tax returns

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City woman pled guilty in federal court Wednesday to preparing and filing false income tax returns.

The woman, 35-year-old Tanisha Spencer, is accused of preparing false income tax returns for people who contacted her through Facebook. The returns included fraudulent Sick Leave and Family Leave credits, false fuel tax credits, and fraudulently inflated federal tax withholdings.
