KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City councilmember took to social media Thursday to express his disappointment with a new memo at City Hall.
The memo, which city councilmember Nathan Willett took offense to social media, was issued by city manager Mario Vasquez and told employees no religious symbols would be on display this year.
“As we prepare for the holiday season, I want to share how we will approach seasonal decor at City Hall this year,” Vasquez’s memo read. “To ensure City Hall remains a welcoming space for everyone and to honor the separation of church and state, we will not display religious symbols as part of our holiday decorations…
