Man shot by Kansas City police after hitting patrol car pleads guilty

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man who was shot by an officer after hitting a Kansas City police car earlier this year was recently sentenced and convicted in Jackson County Circuit Court.

Online court records show Robert Beebe, 35, pleaded guilty in court last month to charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and tampering with a vehicle. The resisting charge was dismissed as part of the plea deal.

The court recommended Beebe be placed in the 120-day program with the Missouri Department of Corrections, but a hearing set for Friday was canceled. The Missouri Department of Corrections could recommend that probation be granted as part of the program…
