KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A message to 2060: Kansas City’s YMCA wants future generations to know what life was like in 2025.
The YMCA of Greater Kansas City says that on Wednesday, Dec. 3, it marked its 165th anniversary by sealing a time capsule filled with letters, photos and symbolic items – to be opened on its 200th anniversary in 2060.
Mayor Quinton Lucas joined YMCA leaders at the Kirk Family YMCA for the ceremony. It ended with a group photo that was also placed inside the capsule before it was sealed away…
