KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City residents gathered at City Market Park to protest military strikes in the Caribbean amid growing concerns about the controversial operations.
The rally was organized by Kansas City’s branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Protesters said they want to stand against a potential war with Venezuela.
“We are here to basically stand against another forever war because we’ve already been through this with Iraq, with obviously them lying about weapons of mass destruction,” said Nate Davis with the Party for Socialism and Liberation. “The same way that they lie about there being an insane amount of drugs coming from Venezuela as well to. Same sort of lineup, same sort of rhetoric. We’re not buying it.”…
