KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – A children’s choir at Grace Tabernacle Family Life Outreach Center discovered a racial slur spray-painted at the church Friday afternoon.
Wyandotte County District Attorney Mark Dupree, who also serves as the church’s senior pastor, said the vandalism targeted his congregation.
“It wasn’t just meant for me, but it was for… meant for all of my congregants and parishioners,” Dupree said. “What I would say to us all in this community, learn how to love in spite of being angry with sin, not be angry, but love more. Be angry. Hold accountable, but stay focused. And for goodness’ sake, love your own community.”
