Decked-out Christmas cars break laws in Kansas, Missouri ex-trooper warns

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A fun holiday tradition people see while driving around the Kansas City metro is actually illegal on both sides of the state line.

Hundreds of people decide to branch out and add Christmas and holiday lights to their cars and trucks. They likely believe the decorations are adding to the festive spirit as the holidays near.

While it may seem like harmless fun, it’s actually against the law.
