A Kansas City woman traveling through Cooper County is arrested after a state trooper finds more than two ounces of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
The patrolman was performing routine stationary traffic enforcement on I-70 on Monday afternoon a little west of Boonville when he spotted a driver with an expired temporary tag. He stopped the car, driven by Dawn Levi, 37, and learned she was on probation for possessing a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. The trooper says Levi was acting nervous, admitted to recent drug use, and she and her passenger gave conflicting reports of their travel plans.
According to court documents, Levi admitted there was a meth pipe in the driver’s door. During a search of her car, the trooper found two pipes with white residue, a digital scale with white residue, and 2.08 ounces of methamphetamine…
