Holy Brunch KC closing its doors, blames Westport racial discrimination lawsuit

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Holy Brunch KC announced that it will be closing its doors amid an ongoing racial discrimination lawsuit against the Westport Community Improvement District (CID).

Black business owner Christopher Lee tried to open his own restaurant at the location – but the lawsuit claims he was ousted by CID board members before the proposed restaurant could open its doors.

Holy Brunch KC then moved in and has been operating at the former Westport Ale House site since July of this year…
