OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — An Overland Park family is turning heartbreak into good after their 25-year-old daughter was killed in 2019 due to gun violence.
On Saturday, the family of Erin Langhofer, a 25-year-old fatally shot in 2019 on a First Friday in the Crossroads, braved chilly temperatures to honor Erin’s life and legacy through their annual Do Good for Erin drive.
“Erin was a domestic violence therapist. She worked at Rose Brooks Center when she was killed, and so, we just started off trying to continue to do good in her honor,” said Marcy Langhofer, Erin’s mother. “And so it made complete sense for us to try to support domestic violence survivors.”…
