Lee’s Summit firefighters rescue four-legged friend from frozen pond

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Lee’s Summit Fire Department successfully rescued a dog from a frozen pond over the weekend.

On Sunday morning, crews were called to a pond in the 800 block of Hamblen Rd. in Greenwood, Mo. to help save a dog.

Two firefighters, Alex Mosser and Chase Wrisinger, braved the icy pond in cold-water exposure suits and retrieved the dog within five minutes of arrival.
