This Missouri restaurant ended up on my radar after I saw Daily Wise share it a week or two ago. It’s Fritz’s Railroad Restaurant and I have a colleague who ate there with her family and verified the train method of getting your food. You order your food by phone at the table and then it’s delivered by an overhead train. That doesn’t include the drinks fortunately, but your food will zoom to your table from the little engine on the overhead train track. Brilliant.
I have since learned that this unique Missouri restaurant has a history that goes back more than 100 years. Fritz and Virginia Kropf began their restaurant in 1954 after he served his time in the Navy, but the model for their restaurant which started in Kansas City, Kansas was John’s Place which Fritz’s dad fixed burgers in back in the 1920’s…
