KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The father of a fallen Kansas City firefighter spent Christmas Day visiting fire stations to honor his son’s memory and support crews working the holidays.
Bob Brinker brought cookies to firefighters at Station 14, where his son Kyle Brinker once worked before dying during a training exercise in September 2024. The 33-year-old firefighter drowned during a swim rescue training exercise.
