BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Renaissance Festival only has five remaining Knights of Lights shows for the year.
Adult tickets typically cost around $20, but a new program this year allows free admission in exchange for donations. Visitors can enter free by bringing at least five canned goods, a new toy valued at $10 or more, or a coat for a child.
Cammy Whalen, marketing coordinator for the festival, said the donation drive started last year but this is the first time it included the ticket exchange option. Donations benefit Harvesters and Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools…
