Driver critically injured after hitting Stowers Institute retaining wall

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A driver was critically hurt after hitting the retaining wall of the Stowers Institute on Sunday evening.

The Kansas City Police Department says it happened at around 5 p.m. in the area of 1000 East 50th St. Preliminary investigation reveals that a Kia was traveling eastbound on MLK Blvd. from Rockhill Rd. at an excessive speed.
