KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A strong, winter weather system is passing us by and bringing us an impactful Sunday. That is why a First Warn will hold through the remainder of our holiday weekend.
SUNDAY
Now that temperatures have plummeted below freezing, we are in the window where we could find some wintry mix and snow flurries. Since the ground will still be quite warm, there is not a huge concern for accumulation on the roadways, but a dusting is possible. Additionally, with the rain/moisture we received this morning, take it easy over elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses. As temperatures continue to drop, it is possible that small slick spots develop.
We dry out area-wide into the evening and stay that way through the upcoming work week…
