Man found passed out in Church’s drive-thru with gun on lap, drugs in backseat, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Charges have been filed against a man police say had multiple unprescribed and illegal drugs in his car when he was arrested Sunday.

The Kansas City Police Department was called to a Church’s Chicken in Jackson County around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 28 for an unresponsive person.

According to court documents, officers saw a Chevrolet Silverado sitting in the restaurant’s drive-thru lane with its brake lights on. When they approached the truck, they found 31-year-old Elliott London asleep in the driver’s seat with a Glock 22 on his lap.

They woke London up and took him and the gun out of the vehicle without incident, but noticed two empty bottles of the prescription antihistamine Promethazine next to him…
