Kansas City, Kansas, church damaged by vandal’s fireworks explosion

A Kansas City, Kansas, church sustained damage after an explosion over the weekend believed to have been caused by vandalism.

Officers were called around 10:24 a.m. Sunday to Iglesia Cristiana Bethel Church of God at 4832 Oak Grove Rd. after a report of criminal damage to the building, according to Nancy Chartrand, spokesperson for the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department.
