RAYTOWN, Mo. (KCTV) – A rent strike at a Raytown apartment building enters the new year with tenants withholding more than $110,000.
KC Tenants Union says tenants at Bowen Tower launched the strike in October – the first in Raytown’s history. Four months later, they say landlord Charles Hill still refuses to negotiate a written agreement.
Hill’s real estate company, Alta/CGHS Real Estate, has responded by filing 27 evictions and refusing to renew 7 leases…
