LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (KCTV) – A Lee’s Summit VFW post received a property tax bill for nearly $50,000.
VFW Post 5789 has served the Lee’s Summit community for almost 80 years. Jim Nail, Former State Commander for the VFW Department of Missouri, said the organization is a pillar for the community.
“We have scholarships for the schools,” Nail said. “We regularly support the police and the fire departments. We work with homeless shelters.”…
