Man found guilty in KCK woman’s murder, closing decades-old cold case

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After nearly 30 years, a Wyandotte County jury has delivered split verdicts in two long‑unsolved Kansas City, Kansas, homicides.

Gary Davis Jr. was found guilty of second‑degree murder in the 1996 death of Pearl Davis, also known as Sameemah Mussawir, while finding him not guilty in a 1998 murder case.
