Cause of commercial building fire in KC under investigation

KANSAS CITY—Officials are investigating the cause of a building fire in Kansas City, Missouri.

Just before 5p.m. crews responded to a reported commercial fire located in the 3100 block of Troost Avenue, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.

Crews reported heavy smoke showing on arrival, and initiated an offensive fire attack with two hand lines advanced into the building. Companies on scene conducted searches throughout the building, which came back all clear.
