KANSAS CITY, Mo. (InvestigateTV) — Restoration specialists have completed work on a rare set of murals by Spanish artist Luis Quintanilla at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, preserving artwork created by an artist whose work was largely destroyed during the Spanish Civil War.
The murals, located inside the university’s Haag Hall, are among only three sets of Quintanilla murals remaining in the world. Restoration specialist Inaki Garate Llombart led the five-week project that concluded in early August 2025.
“I have to say that they are in quite good condition,” Garate Llombart said.
