Kansas Highway Patrol says man ran from police thinking felony warrant was out for his arrest

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Kansas Highway Patrol troopers shared a story Monday night of a unique arrest made over the weekend.

KHP’s Troop A social media account said a man who a Lieutenant attempted to stop on I-70 for a suspected DUI continued to drive and elude police, driving into the ditch and going the wrong way on the interstate before eventually being caught.

Once stopped, the driver told troopers he was fleeing “because he thought he had felony drug warrants through Missouri,” KHP said, “which he didn’t.”…
