In-A-Tub owner suffers life-threatening injuries when truck crashes through restaurant

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The owner of the Northland In-A-Tub is recovering after she was critically injured by a car that crashed through the restaurant on Tuesday.

The Kansas City Police Department said that shortly before 4 p.m. on Jan. 20, the driver of a white Ford F150 pulled into a parking spot at In-A-Tub on NW Prairie View Road.

The truck “suddenly accelerated,” KCPD said, and drove through the side of the building, hitting a person inside.

Police did not identify the victim, but In-A-Tub confirmed on Wednesday that she is the restaurant’s owner. She was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains there in critical condition…
