2 children found safe, suspect in custody after Kansas City Amber Alert

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Two children are now safe with a suspect in custody after an Amber Alert in Kansas City.

The Kansas City Police Department says the family was concerned for the children’s safety after two siblings went missing. Around 9:45 p.m., the incident was upgraded to an Amber Alert.

According to KCPD, a 10-year-old girl and her 8-year-old brother were last seen around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, near Barry and Maple Woods Rd. in the north part of the city.
