Man missing since Saturday found dead near popular trail in Overland Park

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – The Overland Park Police Department says the body of a man missing since Saturday was found on Monday afternoon.

According to an initial report, 36-year-old Joaquin Briceno was last seen around 3 p.m. on January 24, 2026, walking near W 133rd Street and Antioch Road in Overland Park.

He was reportedly wearing a gray sweater, blue jeans, black Sketcher tennis shoes, glasses, and was carrying a black backpack.

On Monday, however, Briceno’s body was found near the Tomahawk Creek Trail at approximately W 137th Street and Antioch Road. An investigation is underway, but detectives do not suspect foul play…
