Man accused of ‘car hopping,’ stealing $10k check from Kansas City airport economy lot

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Felony charges have been filed against a man for his alleged involvement in multiple car robberies at the Kansas City International Airport.

According to documents filed with the Platte County Circuit Court, Dustin J. Muncy is charged with first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and second-degree burglary, both felonies.

His charges stem from a series of alleged robberies in the economy parking lot at the KCI Airport, one reported on Dec. 28, 2025, and another on Jan. 1, 2026…
