Price Chopper to close in February; first store closure in Cosentino family history

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – Cosentino’s Food Stores announced it will close its Price Chopper location at 119th Street and Metcalf Avenue in February, marking the first store closure in the company’s nearly 80-year history.

The closure comes as the family-owned grocer announces plans to invest an estimated $40 million in the greater Kansas City area through store remodels and new locations in 2026, of which it will share further details in the “coming months.”
