Kansas City businesses close doors, donate profits to oppose ICE

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Businesses across the Kansas City metro closed their doors or donated profits Friday to oppose ICE operations, with participation reaching from Parkville to Overland Park.

Nearly an entire block on the city’s west side participated in the effort. Westside Local closed completely, while two different profit shares happened next door at Fetch.

Nicki Lukin, co-owner of West Side Local, locked her doors and set up a table inside Fetch for a bake sale, with 100% of profits going to local immigration activists at AIRR…
