Kansas City area teachers split $50,000 Powerball prize

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A group of 27 teachers in the Kansas City area is celebrating after winning $50,000 off a Powerball ticket.

The ticket was bought at a Casey’s in Blue Springs on Dec. 20, according to the Missouri Lottery.

The winning ticket, which offered a $1.5 billion jackpot, matched four of five white-ball numbers, as well as the Powerball number. The Missouri Lottery said the prize was claimed several weeks later…
