After five years as a farmers market favorite in Lee’s Summit, Overland Park, and Parkville, Mo Pies is finally getting a permanent home. Former Tippin’s Pies executive Curt Lafferty is opening a 2,500-square-foot bakery in Leawood’s Somerset Shops at 7956 Lee Boulevard, taking over the former Classic Kitchen Designs space. The shop will act as a pickup hub for online Valentine’s Day and Easter orders while Lafferty completes his buildout, with a full bakery debut planned for late spring or early summer.
