Docs: Man arrested after shooting person multiple times for breaking into his car

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man is facing two felony charges for a shooting that took place over the weekend.

Documents filed with the Jackson County Circuit Court indicate that 31-year-old Connor Walters called the Kansas City Police Department around 1:23 a.m. on Feb. 3, 2026, to report he had shot someone breaking into his car.

When officers arrived, they found the person he shot lying in the street with multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds. There was reportedly a window-breaking tool on the ground nearby. The other people involved had already left the scene…
