Kansas City man gets 32 years for murder-for-hire plot that endangered children

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man will spend more than three decades in prison for a murder-for-hire plot that included two shooting attempts, putting children in danger.

Thomas D. Clegg, 42, was sentenced to 32 years in federal prison after a jury convicted him of a conspiracy to commit murder for hire, the U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri announced.
