KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – An Independence couple is suing a Missouri window company over the death of their toddler.
Destiny Randle and Moses Bass filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Crown Window Corp. in January 2026. The lawsuit claims:
- Negligence
- Lawsuit claims Crown Window failed to properly install a safe window
- Negligence Per Se
- Claims specific building codes and safety standards were violated
- Liability
- Claims the window was defective and unreasonably dangerous
Tidus Bass died after falling from a ninth-story window at Independence Towers in July 2024.
