New ‘40oz’ sales ban law puts retailers at risk of ‘losing everything’ with bosses warning stores would have to close

A NEW ban on selling small alcohol bottles could force convenience stores to close their doors for good, shop-owners have warned.

The proposed law would ban the sale of liquor in containers smaller than seven ounces.

The law would apply to high crime areas in Kansas City, Missouri, and would include half-pints and mini-bottles, also known as “shooters”.

Single serve beer sales would also be affected, with containers smaller than 40 ounces banned…
