“It’s the longest-standing call to adoption event on a national scale,” said Sydney Mollentine, President and CEO of the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.
“It is a way that we are trying to bring awareness to shelters and adoptable animals. So, all of these animals, most have been adopted by now, but all of these animals were available for adoption at some point.”…
