Home improvement retailer asks Gladstone man to sign confidentiality agreement for refund

GLADSTONE, Mo. — A few years ago, 74-year-old Brian McMillan found his post-retirement passion project: making toys for local children in need.

“I just absolutely love doing this,” McMillan said. “Both my grandsons are too old to be playing with these things now, but that’s okay. I now have many, many grandchildren.”

McMillan turned his garage into a workshop equipped with plywood, machinery and paint. He works over the winter making toy cars, row boats, articulated trucks, each with a wooden heart-shaped stamp painted with the year and ‘G-pa’ on it. He’s also restoring a doll house he bought at a garage sale…
