KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City Missouri Police Department officer who shot and killed two people and injured another in June 2023 has taken a settlement and resigned from KCPD.
On Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, KCPD and now-former officer Blayne Newton finalized a $50,000 settlement that ends Newton’s time with KCPD.
