Kansas City high school student detained after bringing firearm on campus

A student at a Kansas City high school was detained Wednesday morning after allegedly bringing a weapon on school grounds.

Officers with the Kansas City Police Department responded to Hogan Preparatory Academy High School just after 11:30 a.m., Alayna Gonzalez, a spokesperson for the department, said in an email to The Star.
