Firefighters rescue 3 dogs, cat from burning Kansas City home

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City firefighters rescued four pets from a burning home after the owner was able to escape on their own.

The Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department says it responded to the area of 56th and N. Amoret Ave. around 3:55 p.m. with reports of a house fire.

Crews say they arrived to find smoke pouring from the roof of a single-story home and immediately began fighting the fire from inside using two hoses.

With the homeowner already safe outside, firefighters note that they turned their attention to the four animals still trapped inside…
