KANSAS CITY, Kan. (WIBW) – A man suffered serious injuries early Wednesday in a fiery, wrong-way crash on an interstate highway in Kansas City, Kansas, officials said.
The crash was reported at 1:24 a.m. Wednesday on southbound Interstate 635 at Orville Avenue. The location was on I-635 just north of Interstate 70.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2025 Kia Telluride sport utility vehicle was traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-635 when it ran off the road, struck an embankment and caught fire.
The driver and lone occupant in the Kia, Martez Jermaine Blakney, 47, of Kansas City, Kansas, was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital with serious injuries…
